Homework for Monday, November 28

Rats of NIMH: Students have read up through chapter 11 in their books so far. Their assignment tonight is to write their own version of chapter 12 on their own. This can be hand-written (cursive please!) on a piece of notebook paper, and doesn't need to be longer than the front side of the paper. This doesn't need to be a long, intense assignment-- just be creative and include your predictions :) If you are having trouble starting, just think of some of the predictions you have made. What do you think The Plan is? How do you think Mr. Frisby knows the Rats of NIMH? Use your predictions to guide what you will write your chapter about. Remember: This is YOUR interpretation of what will happen to chapter 12! Do not worry about being wrong, and don't forget that a chapter only tells part of the story (so don't make up the ending to the entire book. But most of all, have fun with this!

Math: Create 2 of your own algebra problems. Here is a simple example:
g+4=m
Gina and Marie went to the store to buy fish. Gina bought four more fish than Marie. Write the expression for this. Let G stand for the amount of fish Gina bought, and let M stand for the amount of fish Marie bought.
Just do your best with this, and do not worry if you still need help. This of this as a pre-test homework to help me learn about your understanding of algebra :) We will be learning about algebra a lot more in the coming weeks so no worries if you are confused, we will get there!
